Full play. Safer boundaries.
Core Cutter is built for a mixed, all-ages audience. Every player under 18 gets the complete local arcade game without public names, online rankings, or gameplay uploads.
A Junior (0–8), Child (9–12), or Teen (13–17) profile cannot view or join the public leaderboard, create an online identity, choose a public Name, or upload a ranked run.
Neutral age check
On first use, the app asks for month, day, and year in empty fields with no answer selected in advance. Core Cutter uses the entry on the device to determine only one local category: Junior (0–8), Child (9–12), Teen (13–17), or Adult (18 or older).
The entered birth date is immediately discarded. Neither the birth date nor the derived category is sent to Garry Krey, the leaderboard, this support site, or another player.
Parent-managed under-18 mode
When the local result is any under-18 category, the app asks a parent or guardian to create a local four-digit PIN. The PIN is required for any profile change. Only a salted PBKDF2-SHA256 verifier remains on the device; the raw PIN is not stored or transmitted.
Under-18 mode blocks the only user-generated-content feature completely: the public Name leaderboard. It also blocks leaderboard account creation, cached public names, score reporting, moderation actions, and all ranked-gameplay uploads. The full local game, local scores, music, sound, accessibility settings, and Assist mode remain available.
If an Adult installation gets a new under-18 date result, adult online eligibility is cleared immediately to a pending local state before parent-PIN setup, and rankings are aborted and hidden. A previous online identity is preserved separately but paused and inaccessible; the app makes no leaderboard request while under-18 mode is active. It remains on the server until a parent or guardian uses the PIN to return the installation to its accurate Adult profile and deletes it in the app, or requests deletion through the public process.
Junior Mode for ages 0–8
Junior Mode is designed to be readable and forgiving for the youngest selected Play age groups. It uses one large eight-segment ring on one layer, a 60-second uncut window, slow 18-degree-per-second ring motion, fast core tracking, and accepts either a tap or swipe. A correct cut resolves in about 0.8 seconds.
Junior Mode has no armor, lock guards, extra layers, pickups, Pulse mechanic, damage, game-over state, or energy penalty. It plays no background music and no imported swipe/tap sound bank, using only soft built-in interface and success sounds. Child, Teen, and Adult profiles use the shipped family-safe music catalog. Progress and scores remain only on the device.
Online safety for adult profiles
Profiles age 18 or older see an online-safety reminder before rankings can open. The reminder explains that public names and scores are visible to others and warns users not to share a legal name, age, school, location, contact details, or other sensitive information.
Joining remains optional. An adult player creates a leaderboard identity only by entering a Name and selecting Save Name beside the Terms disclosure. Core Cutter has no chat, comments, direct messages, image sharing, friend requests, or location sharing.
Content and purchases
Gameplay uses abstract neon rings and mechanical sectors. It contains no people or animals being harmed, blood, sexual content, gambling, controlled substances, or developer-authored profanity. Player names are not visible in under-18 mode.
Core Cutter is a $1.00 paid download on Google Play. The app contains no ads, in-app purchases, loot boxes, paid random items, or links that pressure a child to buy something.
Data and deletion
Garry Krey does not knowingly collect personal information, identifiers, names, or gameplay from any under-18 profile through the game. Google Play may handle installation and app-version information as part of its store and update services, under Google's own terms.
Under-18 gameplay and leaderboard code make no network request. The app provides explicit Privacy, Families, and Support links before the age check. Opening one launches this public site in the system browser, where Cloudflare may process the browser request and transient IP/security data. The link never includes the birth date, age category, parent PIN, local progress, Name, or gameplay. Terms and deletion instructions are linked from the public site.
If a parent believes a minor used an adult profile to submit a public name or score, follow the leaderboard deletion instructions or email garrykrey@gmail.com. Do not email a minor's birth date or the parent PIN. Entering under-18 mode by itself does not delete an identity created earlier.
